Who We Are
The Science Advisory Board is an international community of science and medical experts. It connects a global network of research, development, and manufacturing professionals to collaborate on shaping the future of scientific technology. Members share their knowledge and experience with the community, advise and consult leading life science companies, and earn rewards for their engagement.
Our mission at The Science Advisory Board is to be the catalyst for future breakthroughs by providing a space for professionals to share, interact, and discover. By enabling them to share their opinions with the companies whose products they rely on every day, our members have a voice in shaping the future of science technology.
To accomplish our mission, The Science Advisory Board engages research, development, and manufacturing professionals to collaborate on shaping the future of science and medicine. Expert led teams host discussions about cutting edge technology. Users can also “Ask the Experts” by broadcasting inquiries to tens of thousands of scientists around the world.
Members participate in focus groups, individual consultancies, lab product testing, or online questionnaires. Companies use your feedback to provide new offerings that better meet the needs of our community. By improving the dialogue between scientists and suppliers, we expedite the next generation of discoveries.

Application verification can take a few days to approve or decline membership. You will receive an email if and when you have been approved to become a member of The Science Advisory Board. You will also receive an email if we are unable to approve your membership. This email outlines common reasons why applications are denied and offers you the opportunity to send additional information for reconsideration.
If your account is approved, you will automatically become a member of The Science Advisory Board. You have the right, and are encouraged to, view and update your profile information routinely. If, at any time, your personal or professional information has changed, you can make the applicable changes at The Science Advisory Board's website.
Our membership records are stored in a secure, proprietary database. The database is used to determine whether a member meets the criteria necessary to be eligible for a research study.
When a new study matches a member's background and area of expertise, that member will be notified by email that the study is available for them to participate. Members may elect not to participate in a specific study, or studies, and will still maintain their membership.
Compliance With Policies, Rules, Regulations, and Laws
By participating in any form of research study (including but not limited to online surveys, onsite or electronic focus groups, individual consulting interviews, or hands-on product testing), you certify that participation in the study and receipt of the incentive does not violate any applicable policies, regulations, or laws. This stipulation applies to both members of The Science Advisory Board community, as defined as having an account on www.scienceboard.net, and to all other participants who may not be part of The Science Advisory Board network.
Good Faith Terms and Conditions
Each survey will be taken in good faith and to the best of the respondent's abilities. This includes answering the survey questions honestly and prudently without providing false or misleading data. These include inconsistent or statistically improbable answers.
Violating good faith efforts can result in compromised data; therefore, The Science Advisory Board reserves the right to withhold awarding any honoraria associated with the completion of any research study, if in The Science Advisory Board's reasonable view, the response(s) are deemed untruthful or not well considered. Furthermore, The Science Advisory Board reserves the right to withhold any honoraria awarded to a member under false pretenses, including but not limited to misrepresentation of background, current employment, current laboratory applications used, current laboratory suppliers, and current area of study. Honoraria for successful survey completion will only be awarded once per person per study.
Rewarding Your Participation
Participating members are compensated with ViewPoints and/or a chance to win a prize each time a study is successfully completed within the required timetables. Upon completion of the study, any applicable ViewPoints will be automatically added to that member's account. Accumulated ViewPoints may be redeemed for items in the Rewards Catalog.
The Science Advisory Board is committed to advancing charitable causes, particularly in the areas of health, science, medicine, technology, and education. For each research study in which you participate, you will have the option of earmarking honoraria to help fund The Science Advisory Board's charitable activities. Join with us in making an impact!
